11/3/2026 - NOTICE: Tree removal/replacement project coming to Great Oaks Drive median

Dear Brushy Creek MUD residents,

The natural beauty of our District is something we take great pride in, particularly the tree-lined median of Great Oaks Drive that helps make BCMUD so recognizable. Just like our parks, trails and other green spaces, maintaining the beauty of this area is a priority. However, keeping it beautiful also means keeping it safe.

Following a thorough assessment led by our certified arborist, BCMUD has identified several trees along the Great Oaks Drive median that pose potential safety hazards due to declining health and the risk of falling or dropping large branches and debris onto the roadway. As a preemptive safety measure, four trees between RM 620 and Hairy Man Road are scheduled for removal in November, with additional removals beginning as early as December or January.

In total, approximately 10% of the trees along the Great Oaks Drive median, from RM 620 to Liberty Walk Drive, have been identified as potential safety risks and are expected to be removed through this effort. We will work closely with Williamson County to coordinate a replanting effort that will maintain the beauty and nature of this signature corridor for years to come.

Thank you for your understanding as we take these proactive steps to protect our residents and preserve the beauty that makes up The Brushy Creek Life.
